Good to know

  • Counterfeits: the words “inspired by”, “copy” or “type” followed by a brand are enough to reject the listing. Above 1,500 MAD, a luxury brand requires proof (invoice, label, serial number).
  • Hygiene: opened cosmetics, worn underwear, intimate hygiene products and corrective lenses are prohibited.
  • Electronics: a phone must be reset and its IMEI entered. A swollen battery or one over 100 Wh is prohibited.
  • Heritage: archaeological objects, old manuscripts, listed property.
  • Police, army or customs uniforms, and their insignia.
  • Samples and items received free from a brand.
  • Religious books, including the Quran: allowed, in Books > Religion, reviewed by a person before publication.
  • Imported clothing in bales: reserved for verified Pro Wholesale accounts.
  • Prohibited items stay prohibited, even when free.

Only allowed items are sold

No counterfeits, no weapons, no medicines, no live animals, and nothing else on the list of prohibited items, which varies by country.

What happens when a rule is broken

An automatic check catches some violations at publication; member reports do the rest. You always receive a written decision stating: the content concerned, the rule involved, whether the decision came from an automatic check or a person, the penalty, and the deadline to appeal it. A heavy penalty (a block of 30 days or more) is always confirmed by a person on the team before it is applied.

  • Under review: the listing is invisible while a person reviews it, 24 hours at most. Typical cases: a very low price for a phone, a brand that is often copied, doubt about a prohibited item.
  • Rejected or deleted (class 2 or above): prohibited item, counterfeit, repeated external contact details.
  • A deleted listing republished identically within 7 days is rejected.

The penalty scale

Violations are counted over a rolling 12 months; after that, they are erased.

  • Moderate (external contact details, spam, offensive language, absurd price, harmless prohibited item): 1st time, content deleted and a warning; 2nd time within 12 months, the feature concerned is restricted for 7 days; 3rd time within 12 months, the account is blocked for 14 days.
  • Serious (counterfeit, payment requested outside Trokido, harassment, hate, sexual content, dangerous object, fake review): 1st time, content deleted and the account blocked for 30 days; 2nd time within 12 months, permanent block.
  • Critical (proven fraud, fake identity document, impersonation, exploitation of minors, glorification of terrorism, sale of weapons): immediate permanent block; evidence kept; report to the authorities when the law requires it.

Appealing a decision

From your account, in My reports, each decision has an “Appeal the decision” button, for up to 6 months afterwards. A person on the team who didn’t make the first decision reviews your case and replies in writing within 7 days. The reported member can appeal in the same way. Every six months, Trokido publishes the number of reports, decisions by reason and decisions overturned on appeal.

How do I report a listing, a member or a message?

Tap ⋮ on the listing, profile, message, review or video, then “Report”. Choose the reason, add details if you want, and send: the reported person will never know it was you.

  • Tap ⋮ then “Report”.
  • Choose the reason: scam or payment outside Trokido, prohibited item, counterfeit, external contact details, harassment, shocking content, fake profile, undeclared professional seller…
  • Describe what you saw (optional).
  • Send. You receive a report number and an acknowledgement.
  • Follow the decision in My reports.
