Shirts, suits, trainers: the measurements and proofs that avoid bad surprises.

Sizes and measurements

For a shirt, the collar size (39, 40, 41…) is more reliable than S, M or L. For a suit, give the chest and sleeve length; for shoes, the size and the inner length in centimetres.

Branded items

Show the inside label, the box or the receipt if you have it. A pair of trainers is also judged by the sole: photograph it from underneath.

Before buying

Try it on the spot when you can. In person, payment and the handover code come after trying on, never before.
