Buying and selling second-hand in Marrakesh

Marrakesh, Morocco · 18 example listings, not for sale

Where to hunt for second-hand in Marrakech

The Bab El Khemis souk, north of the medina, is the city’s flea market: old furniture, lamps, tableware, tools, bric-a-brac. It is busiest on Thursday (khemis means Thursday), with a smaller market on Sunday. Every price is haggled.

Meeting for a handover

Give your district in the listing: Guéliz, Hivernage, Daoudiate, Sidi Youssef Ben Ali, M’hamid, the medina… In the medina the alleys look alike: give a well-known landmark, a gate such as Bab Doukkala or a square, rather than an address. For a fragile or expensive item, a café in Guéliz or Marrakech station suits better than an alley.

Getting it delivered

Amana (Barid Al-Maghrib) and CTM Messagerie connect Marrakech with the rest of the country. On Trokido, the listing shows whether the seller offers delivery with cash on delivery; otherwise the sale happens in person, in cash, with the handover code.
